As a back-ground for the illustration above, a mosaic-like pattern of colour swatches was created. The dry COPIC colours were diluted until all colour shades blended into each other

Another background was done using two colours only: a blender mixed the color YG13 over Y15 until a smooth vanishing effect was achieved


For the apron of the child B32 was used as basic colour and the darker colour B23 for the vertical stripes. The checkered pattern resulted through the horizontal application of the blender

The hair was coloured with E04 and the white areas turned into shiny strands through the blender.
